					<description>Ian: the difference is that when you spread the same password around to 20 different sites, that's 20 different opportunities for it to be stolen (by a malicious site or a successful hacking attempt). With OpenID you're reducing the exposure of your password - you still lose everything if it gets stolen, but at least there's only one place that it can be stolen from.

It turns out that most people already have a single account which can unlock all of their other ones. If you use the same e-mail address for all of the accounts that you create and someone steals your e-mail password they can use the &quot;recover password&quot; feature on all of the sites coupled to that address to reset or steal the password used there.</description>
