I began writing software at an early age, and collected old programming language manuals as a hobby (they were also cheap enough for a teenager to afford!) I studied at the Royal Military College of Science, and after graduation in 2001 left for London to get my first job.
Whilst in London, I met my fiancé, and we now live together. She loves videogames, and writes a weblog where she translates Japanese videogame news.
Despite being an engineer, my family has its roots in the arts - my father teaches art and paints, and my mother is a fashion designer. I also have the same creative drives, so when I'm not coding I'm listening to music or writing it. I'm a firm believer in the Creative Commons movements, and work hard to document and review music released on netlabels.
With Aardvark Media Limited, I'm working on client-based PHP projects. This involves web-based document management systems, custom content management systems and b2b software.
For Helicoid, we're creating Ruby on Rails applications that anyone can use. The most popular of these is Tiktrac, a simple timesheets application aimed at contractors and small businesses.
I also write music, and release through netlabels. I work hard trying to promote netlabel artists through my weblog, Milieu.
